John James, PhD, received his doctorate from the University of New South Wales in 1988, and works actively in the field of Transpersonal Psychology. He has lectured in such esteemed institutions as Oxford, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Princeton, and Berkeley. He uses considerable personal development and therapeutic training to develop workshops and professional curricula. He founded the Broomlea Center, wrote the course material for a Graduate Diploma in Transpersonal Psychology, which was accredited in 1989, and in 1996 established The Crucible Center, a residential teaching school. He is the author of several other books.
